F1 pay a great deal of attention to the usability of the database applications  we develop. All development work undertaken follows strict programming and interface guidelines. All systems built around these standards are fully Microsoft compliant for the implementation of Graphical User Interfaces (GUI).

The power of the user interface is built into our development routines, and the consistency of our GUI applications minimises user training costs and facilitates user acceptance. This means that common functionality uses the same menu system that standard applications use, allowing the end users to migrate to a new bespoke system without having to relearn how to operate it.

F1’s testing procedure is very rigorous. All modules that are shipped would have undergone several stages of testing. The first is by the actual programmer of the system. Once approved, the code is then past over to a second person that tests every element of the system by using test forms. If any fault is picked up at this stage, the cycle commences once again. This ensures that any correction to one element has not had any ramifications on the other parts of the system.

Once both the programmer and tester are happy, the code is then passed onto the development manager for shipment.
