What is Pro-ACTION->Outlook?

P2Outlook (abbreviated to P2Outlook) is a Pro-ACTION 'add-on' application written in Visual FoxPro to copy information held within Pro-ACTION and send it to Microsoft Outlook in the form of an email message, contact, appointment or task. b) Why was it written?

While we consider Pro-ACTION to be the best storage location for sales and marketing information within an organisation it is acknowledged that email also has an important role to improve communication both within and outside the organisation. The P2Outlook program enables Pro-ACTION customers to have the best of both worlds. They can maintain an integrated database of their business using Pro-ACTION and enable this information to be selectively sent to the rest of the world via the most popular Microsoft Office product - Outlook.

What is its current functionality?

Current functionality requires that the information must originate from the Pro-ACTION action record (although information relating to other Pro-ACTION datasets is also included) d) What about the future?

Depending on customer feedback we can extend the functionality to include send information directly from other Pro-ACTION datasets and importing information into Pro-ACTION from Microsoft Outlook fields - notably incoming email messages. What are requirements for Pro-ACTION - Outlook application?

1) P2Outlook requires Pro-ACTION V 3.5 to be installed. (To find out what version of Pro-ACTION you are running just check version number on the Pro-ACTION logon screen). 

2) What Outlook version is needed? P2Outlook works with Microsoft Outlook 95, Outlook 97 and Outlook 2000. 

3) What are the Memory requirements? We recommend a minimum of 64mb PC. 

4) What version of Windows does it require? P2Outlook is a 32-bit application and runs under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000. 

What does it cost?

P2Outlook is free of charge to supported Pro-ACTION customers. The support is also free when included in standard support contact. Don't forget for existing supported customers additional Pro-ACTION licences for both clients and servers are also free of charge provided they are included in annual support contact.
