Classroom Configuration
The following configuration and naming conventions are used
throughout this course and are required for the hands-on labs:
- The instructor computer is named Instructorx (where x is a number that is
unique to the intranet).
- Each student computer is named Serverx (where x is a unique number
for each server on the intranet).
- Each domain is named Domainx (where x is a number that is unique to the
intranet).
- The password for both the Windows NT administrator account and the sa SQL
Server account on the instructor computer is pass832.
The classroom setup script assumes that the instructor computer name is
"Instructor832." If the name is different, follow the instructions in this setup
guide to edit files to reflect the correct computer name.
If your classroom is on an intranet, make sure that the numbers
that you assign to each student computer, instructor computer, domain, and so on are
unique. By providing unique numbers for these, you will avoid inadvertently causing naming
conflicts.
