Target Audience:
This course introduces the architecture of an electronic commerce Web-based solution using Microsoft products and technologies. It is intended for enterprise architects with experience designing and deploying distributed applications.
Pre-requisites:
Before attending this course, students must have the following pre-requisites:- Experience designing n-tier applications.
- Experience designing and deploying Internet-based applications.
- Be able to work with Use Case analysis and system modeling techniques for entity relationship diagrams.
- Be familiar with Microsoft core technologies: Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, a Microsoft Visual Studio development tool, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, COM, and Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition.
Purpose:
At the end of the course, students will be able to describe the Microsoft product set involved in an e-commerce solution; make performance considerations for the implementation of technologies; make performance decisions about the positioning of data and transaction processing in an n-tier architecture; design a scalable, flexible, reliable, and robust architecture for both future development and operational integrity.
