Target Audience:
This course provides IT Professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully deploy a solution that enables their organization to make better, faster decisions by connecting people, information, and processes in real time. It is intended for IT Professionals responsible for implementing and deploying instant messaging infrastructures.
Pre-requisites:
Before attending this course, students must have the following pre-requisites:- • Completed Course 2400, Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, or equivalent knowledge.
- • Completed Course 2277, Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure: Network Services, or equivalent knowledge.
- • Completed Course 2279, Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure, or equivalent knowledge.
- • System administrator–level working knowledge of public key certificates
Purpose:
After completing this course, students will be able to describe the features and infrastructure of Live Communications Server 2003; deploy the strategy for implementing the Live Communications Server environment; install the Live Communications Server; configure a Live Communications Server 2003 environment; configure the IM Archiving Service; backup and restore the user services data; migrate from Exchange IM to Live Communications Server
