Before attending this course, students must have the following pre-requisites:

> Purpose
After completing this course, students will be able to describe the role of each component in the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack so that a better informed estimate of resources might be made in the BI project; explain the Unified Data Model, understand limitations and implementations and when it is appropriate to use in BI deployment; explain what SQL 2008 and the R2 release change in Microsoft BI and how to leverage these technologies; gain a knowledge of SQL Integration Services and understand why the Extract Transform and Load process use 40% or more of the entire project budget; get an explanation of Multidimensional space in SQL Server Analysis Services; learn to plan for the on-going maintenance of BI projects and their expansion across the enterprise.
